
A Look into the Life of Lara Clear: The Emily Blunt of On-Screen Villains
Lara Clear is a British actor. She first established herself as a cast member of the sketch comedy show, “Happy Hour”. She has since starred in film and television such as; NCIS: Los Angeles, Veer, Best Mom, Stone Seeker, Peaches & Tea, We the Kings and many more.
As a child she appeared in many TV commercial campaigns and national prints. She has produced short films including, Box of Crayons and Peaches & Tea, both co-written and co-produced by her colleague and friend, Stacy Ayn Price.
Early Life & Hobbies
Lara Clear grew up between the small town of Surrey and London, in the UK. She was born to parents from North & South London. As a child, she was a talkative, energetic tomboy and loved sports. She was seen as the life of the party wherever she found herself. She loves painting, learning languages and is a fan of Arsenal Football Club.
Education
Lara gained her primary education at Keston in Old Coulsdon, after which she attended secondary school at Coulsdon High School in Surrey.
After passing with flying colors in her GCSEs, Lara Clear attained A level degrees in theatre arts, French, physical education and media studies all from the Reigate College UK. Considering her love for theatre, she also studied Musical Theatre at the Urdang Academy in Covent Garden and short courses at RADA, UK, and UCB. She began training at Larry Singer Studios after moving to NYC. She also attended improv classes at The Groundlings LA and UCB to sharpen her skills.
Career
Her career started at a young age when she would be featured in Pampers commercials. In High School she auditioned for plays and landed many roles. Lara’s first acting gig out of college was at the UK’s largest Christmas show, “Thursford Christmas Spectacular”. She also performed in several pantomimes at big venues such as the London Palladium, Norwich Theatre Royal, Marlowe Canterbury Theatre and more. One of her best and most enjoyed roles was ROSEMARY in “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying,” at the Steiner Theatre in London.
She started working in the US after gaining an Extraordinary Ability Green Card. Gaining the Green Card was not easy but her many years of experience in acting paid off. She was a guest star in the American action TV series, NCIS: Los Angeles, alongside actors like LL Cool J and Chris O’Donnell. In the tv show, she played the role of a Bitcoin farm thief that got involved with a group of shady people.
Producing
Lara has produced big-budget short films like, Box of Crayons, written by Stacy Ayn Price in 2013, where a virginal brunette, Valaysia (Stacy Ayn Price), attends an interview instead of her blonde roommate (Lara Clear) after the latter could not make it. The interview took Valaysia on a ride of her life. The movie received positive reviews and was a success. She also produced other short movies like Peaches and Tea, a farcical comedy set in the 1700’s.

Lara Clear is romantic, loyal, thoughtful, with a sense of humor and loves surprises. She detests arrogance and ignorance. She is also big on health and fitness.
