Compassionate celebs turn out in force for Animal Equality’s Inspiring Global Action Gala 

Animal lovers came flooding in for Animal Equality’s Inspiring Global Action Gala hosted by Michelle Forbes at the Beverly Hilton on Saturday, December 2. The venue was beautifully decorated with floral arrangements donated by Foxgloves & Folly. Celebrities such as Lisa Edelstein, Scheana Marie, Lesley Nicol, Jessica Sutta, Shannon K, and many more sat around an amazing vegan meal, featuring Hungry Planet, Harmless Harvest and Miyoko’s Kitchen.

With few dry eyes in the house during the evening’s emotional and impactful speeches, award presenters, including Moby and Kat Von D, spoke of the organization’s immense impact in preventing animal suffering in the nine countries in which they work. This year, with more than 250 people, Animal Equality celebrated progress for animals worldwide, as well as honored the achievements of their visionary award winners.

Echoing the acceptance speech of Prince Khaled bin Alwaleed, musician and Animal Activist Moby, said: “I liked what you said about consigning animal agriculture to the dustbin of history – it’s going to happen – it just can’t happen soon enough.”
